In ancient spiritual teaching, bad karma can be divided into three types: body karma, mouth karma, and thought karma.

Body karma includes:

killing
stealing
cheating
physical abuse
sexual abuse

Mouth karma includes:

lying
creating distrust and ill will between two parties
disrespect
rudeness
criticizing
condemning
judging
complaining

Thought karma includes:

greed
stinginess
anger
jealousy
wishful thinking (illusion)

To know more about the different kinds of bad karma from body, mouth, and thought is to remind yourself to avoid creating bad karma.  If you realize you have issues with any of these three types of karma, you can be awakened and empowered to correct them.

You also know that if you do not correct your issues at the body, mouth, and thought levels, you will continue to create bad karma.

There is an ancient statement:

Shan you shan boo, e you e bao.

This can be translated as good karma returns; bad karma also returns.

Good karma returns as good health, good relationships and financial abundance as well as blessings in every aspect of life.
Bad karma returns as sickness, challenging relationships, and poor finances, as well as blockages in every aspect of life.

You have the power to create your karma for the future.  If you want blessings for your health, relationships, and finances, offer good service.  If you do not want karmic lessons for your health, relationships and finances, stop creating bad karma from body, mouth and thought.
