I would like to share a wonderful insight that came to me today.

A couple of years ago, I was part of a group doing a forgiveness practise.  The leader of the practise stated ...'in order to be totally forgiven I know I must serve unconditionally...and it is my greatest honor to serve.'

I carried this phrase 'it is my greatest honor to serve' and added it to my own forgiveness practise.  Slowly, by stating 'it is my greatest honor to serve' again and again, I begin to understand deeper the honor of service.

Please understand.  There is quite a lot of difference between understanding  through the intellect and the deep understanding of the heart.

Today...I understood from the depths of my heart the honor of service.  It began quite simply.  I was in a park, everyone was pretty happy, children were playing.  Everyone was friendly.  I thought, what an honor it is to be friendly to others in a most sincere way. I truly felt honored.  Then I understood.  This is service.  What an honor to serve.  What an honor to have the opportunity to serve.

I deeply understand now the honor of service.  And I am very, very grateful.
